ECOLOGICAL SANITY
Ecological sanity begins by recognizing that human civilization is embedded in, not separate from, the natural systems that sustain life. Our laws, cities, and technologies exist within a wider biological context—air, water, forests, wildlife, soil cycles, and climate patterns. When those systems are damaged, unravel, or collapse, so do we. A sane society begins not with economic expansion, but with ecological accounting—placing the preservation of Earth’s systems above the pursuit of short-term profits or industrial growth.
